I am touched

by your concerns.

I am getting a 24 hour blood pressure monitor to wear. Unfortunately, the practice can only afford one, and there are three on the list before me. But the nice lady doctor assured me that my head will not explode imminently, and I am still the most handsome patient in the whole of Yorkshire.

.....and I am still the most handsome patient in the whole of Yorkshire.

I think it is more serious than they realise.

when you get it fitted ,keep a time record of what you are doing ,when they review your high and low BP events they will be able to cross reference the data , (eg,high BP at 2pm = court appearance)
But the nice lady doctor assured me that my head will not explode imminently, and I am still the most handsome patient in the whole of Yorkshire.
she blatantly LIED about the second part, so what makes you think your head won't explode   ::)

Was her guide dog laying quietly in the corner of the surgery?
