Never had that problem.
The bloke in the hut always takes the club off you when youve hit the ball through the windmills sails.

Moral...never carry your golf clubs in a car with a tow bar.....

 You shouldn't carry your Golf clubs in the car with you at all, they will obstruct your view through the windscreen, they should be in the boot ;)
