Worth asking them about refurbing the other two?

TBH, if funds allow, i'd refurb all 4.

That way you should be guaranteed a matching fuel flow into the cylinder and if you still have a problem, you know were not to look  :y

They clean and test a set of 4 for £85. A refurb is 130 per injector. Less testing fee. Struck me as a little dear. But not sure.

The one that wasn’t in the box is cleaner than the other 2. Has indeed some of the markings rubbed off. And has blue paint on seal nut. So guess that’s the one to use.

Bosch do them for around 150-200 (you can sometimes find them cheaper)

Well swapped the injector over, went ok considering it was a learning exercise.
New on in and programmed, took a bit of starting, and is still rough,  went to look at the engine and new injector was sat in a pool of diesel bubbling up, so doesnt look like its sealed :(

No idea why, or if Ive done something wrong, Ill revist tomorrow as rain has stopped play :(

Yes. Seal remained in but got it out easily a tapered full round file slid in and gripped it no problem.

Carefully fitted new seal to new injector and fitted. Should I have pushed the washer on myself or let the engine do that?

injector back out, recleaned everything more throughly, put washer down the well, installed injector.  No leaks

Very rough when it started, reading over 5.
quick drive <1 mile, and down to 1, but still a bit rough, will see how it goes for a bit, and maybe even give it the cleaning diesel when I fill up

Have you sorted the engine mounts yet?

Dont want to play more than I have to with supressing vibration yet, trying to cure at source first, will then do any replacements needed.  Engine can no longer jump around, rear view mirror now clear, not blurred as its not vibrating, thats enough for me at the mo.
Car seems smoother with each little trip so far

The inserts are probably having a negative impact with knackered mounts.
