a/c condenser
« on: 19 July 2016, 19:12:22 »

when I remove the rad to allow room to work on front of the engine it highlighted in what poor condition the condenser is in. I was once told by a breaker all omega radiators & condensers will fit any model & I bought one off them for a manual 2.5td, but it came off a petrol job auto. on condensers I suppose the dryers may have to be changed . but not sure.

I m not quite sure what the question is here, but if you need a condenser get a new one.

Cheap and you will get a new dryer also.

Includes the dryer as well and you can live in the box it comes in afterwards!  :y

Condenser from anywhere will come with dryer - it's an integral part of it  :y

Yours is cheaper though so go for it  :y

I bought one from car cooling a couple of weeks ago also .Make sure you order the seals for 3 quid when you get to checkout.
As said it turns up very quickly in a huge box and seems to be excellent quality. Mine was heaven to drive today in the high temperatures.
In fact I went for a drive in it for no other reason than to cool down. :)

They don't, some come with-out, and will be charged extra for the dryer. (eg Nielsen)

Interesting - how on earth do you fit it if it comes separately? The pipes should be welded to the condenser. Certainly the Car Cooling ones come complete as do genuine VX.

Omega filter/dryer is totally separate from the condenser, held on by a little b*****d of a screw and clamp that it almost impossible to get at and a single bolt that connects the pipe block to the top

As Steve says, car cooling condenser comes with drier already attached. Which makes it even more of a bargain.  :)

ukcarcooling sell the dryers separately and when I bought my condenser I didn't think from the description that it comes with the dryer, which is why I bought mine from autoairconparts as they do include the dryer.  :y

Plus it was a lot cheaper than ukcarcooling.  ;)

I'm getting myself all confused. I bought mine from the same place as you, not the other place I mentioned.  :-[ ;D
