I met a guy today with a beautiful 3.0 Elite in Red, 'S reg, with all the Irmscher goodies on it, he thinks he may have bought it from someone on the forum. He has had the LPG done for £1100 by a firm in Wales: http://www.professautogas.co.uk/?gclid=CMO52bi9lakCFQUe4QodrxZJdw and is very pleased with their work, and follow up inspections. They claim to suck out the swarf as the they drill the manifold (
) He reckons he has only lost about 20 miles for the same amount of fuel. He also mentioned insurance and registration. Are there any problems in this area with DIY fits?

Cheeky! Thanks Richard, that sounds like a good idea. Its on the back burner at present as I have just got a 3.2 Elite which I need to learn about. However, PM with your address and I'll take them for later.

My TD was supplied new with only one horn! I had to get VX to add the second one under warranty.

It certainly is a beauty, looks almost brand new inside. Only trouble is, I haven't had time to play with it yet, other than the drive down from Brum.

Met H12DVY in Brum yesterday and picked up my new - and it is like new - Elite. Thanks very much Dave for keeping this car in such superb condition. I thoroughly enjoyed my drive home, and look forward to many (no comments about my age!) years of enjoyable driving.

I guess its the luck of the draw, probably another Eternal would fit OK, but I am not going to take the chance. I've just been on a run with this one and it rattles like mad despite my efforts. It will have to be replaced.

I recently fitted a rear box, on my TD, purchased on line from Eternal which are well spoken of here. Unfortunately either the front or rear mounting bars appear to have been welded in the incorrect position, such that when fitted, with a new mounting kit, the bars rattle against the chassis or car mounted bars. I have had it off twice to bend the bars to improve the mounting. Not completely satisfactorily as it still rattles occasionally, so I will be replacing it again with another make.
To be fair to Eternal, they have agreed to refund the purchase price ( only about £30), but I would have preferred a replacement so that I could send this back for inspection.

New Exhaust centre
New Exhaust back box
both fitting kits
New rear subframe bushes
front wishbones
New HID headlights and all associated wiring
A spare set of alloys taken off the car just sitting in the living room
A pair of axle stands
all my tools
the full interior removed from the mig when i fitted the leather
my ECU in bits while i wait to refit new chip.
I just dont have time to do it all lol
Sounds sensible, you must have big patio doors and a very large sitting room to get the whole car in.
