Post by: Simon_Omega on 14 December 2007, 15:40:17
I have just done a retro fit, here is how its done (approx cost £80 all inclusive)

Parts Required:
1- Indicator stalk assembly with Cruise functions (second hand from £10, new from £30)
2- A Phillips Screwdriver

3- A local vauxhall dealer that will do you a deal and enable your CC on your ecu for a mere 1/2 hour     on a tech 2. (book time one hour, my dealer did it for 1/2 hours fee - £45)
Or visit MarksDTM or TheBoy.

Step one, Remove top cowling from around the steering wheel:
(turn wheel left, remove plastic lug and remove screw,   now turn wheel 180 degrees to allow access to the opposite side and remove lug and screw)

Step four, Remove wiring harness plug from the stalk, and discard the stalk through ebay or keep as a spare.

Step five, Connect your NEW stalk to the wiring loom plus extra plug (ON NEW STALK IS AN EXTRA CABLE AND PLUG,  THIS GOES ONTO THE SPARE CABLE PLUG ALREADY REDUNDANT ON YOUR CARS LOOM A COUPLE INCHES DOWN FROM THE INDICATOR LOOM)

Step six, Reverse the cowling removal process and you have completed your part of the work

Step Seven is to go to the dealer and have the Cruise Enabled on your ECU on a Tech 2 service code on their computer.

Step 8,  get on the road, reach your desired speed, push set, sit back and jobs a gooden,  all we need now is cruise steering!!
