Good friend of mine was going to order one like that when they first came out, sadly Cancer got him before the car arrived :'(
-
Nice of you to park it in front of your bathroom for us in the last photo.. ;D
-
I like the proportions of the XE, it's fine looking car I think. Far better than Ze German's versions out there.
Still far to new for me, be interesting to see what values will be like in 3 years.

When I was a lad an outside crapper was a luxury.
Hole in the ground is what we had. :)

Nice looking car but don't think I could warrant it, the Jeep may have to go if we get the house we want ( move pending) It is a nice machine but the missus has seen how much fuel I put in it !

Ooh.. I would love the SRT (because V8..) - couldn't find a dealer willing to get one in to test drive, though :(

Is this the one that is roughly the size of Canada?

Not a bad hack the XE, the 2.0 Petrol is very spritely even in the base 200bhp guise.
I didn't like the size/location of the B pillar though and not masses of leg room in the rear.
Fantastic handling car though

I have to agree on this point. The XE is an excellent 'drivers car'. The version I'm using has the 180 BHP derv lump. Acceleration seems the same regardless of how much right foot I use. One inch seems to do the same as foot to the floor.

Ahh diesel. Bags of torque.
Was in a DIY shop yesterday that sold wall tiles the same as your outside toilet wall finish.

Depends on the mode selected (switches below the gear selector), they are also slightly lighter than STEMOs Astra which helps.

Its envisaged they will hold value reasonably well

The lease rates would back this up...

Surely then her legs would be pointing upwards and not forward :D :D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Doesn,t look like much DIY room under that bonnet, some water splashed about too from the pic.

For all the old "Grace,Space Pace" slogan they used to use Jaguars have never been particularly roomy[possible exception being the MkX/420G?]for their size.

Mine has, for its size, shockingly poor rear legroom. But as I don't need that is why I didn't mind the SWB version, and its adequate enough. If I regularly carried adults in the back, and wanted a current XJ, it would have to be the LWB version.
Having had it for a while now, I'm glad I did get the SWB one, as it is a pain to park in those 1960s town centre multistorys, and the very new carparks that assume a G-Whizz is a bloaty car.

The newer models are much better.
