Replaced both rear subframe bushes on the project car, emptied boot and removed old shock absorbers. Now that took all day instead of the recommended times to do these jobs.... getting older and slower and thinking it's a young mans game!  :'(

Washed the bus and my 3.2.

Peeled some laqure off the bonnet of the 3.2  :(

Karcher K4 with correct car bit, whole bonnet suffers a bit, even more so at the front.

It’s been going for a long time, just the bonnet that has it.

My BMW has some peeling laqueur and I've thought about having a go at it with a rattle can....  :-\

I think though if I just leave it, it'll add character.  :)

K4 is too powerful without a vario lance turned down a bit.  IIRC, the K4 kit doesn't come with a vario, just an unadjustable lance and the dirt buster on the posher kits.  Pressure washers are not good for paintwork, you're better off with a hose and adjustable rose, and a bucket and sponge. 2 buckets if its a nice car.

Replaced rear lock solenoid on the project with one that works, then gave it a quick wash.

Need to start looking at LPG tanks for it but typically need to buy a new washing machine first

How does a washing machine hold LPG?

Present Mrs VXL with a large bucket and a 3 ponged dolly. And a mangle if feeling generous.  Then when you are in A&E recovering, you're free to investigate tanks. Win-win in my book.

It comes with lance that lights up, mix, car, hard.

So tuned to car pressure.

It’s old and loosing paint anyway....

A rattle can won't work without clearing back past the edges... flatting and a lacquer coat will tidy it up without looking too shit, but much over a couple of square inches and you're into complete panel territory ;)

Two steps forward one step back...

Flushed, and refilled the oil on the trolley and popped a new filter in. Cleared enough mayo from the filler neck to make a round of sandwiches... clearly doesn't agree with GMs finest :D, so treated it to Mobil1 to see if that produces less mayo... should do as a perished breather pipe was renewed about a month ago, so that wouldn't have helped any. That said, the oil and filter looked like they had been in there for four times the 7,500 miles they have actually done :-\

Also changed the coolant and flushed the matrix. doesn't seem to have solved the heater temperature control though... either it's hot or cold... no middle ground.

Also sheared a cat to centre pipe bolt trying to resolve an irritating exhaust blow ::) so tomorrows job is to extract the remains of the old bolt and rearrange the clamping arrangement to sort it.

Mr VXL does the washing since Mrs VXL's op! I did repair her old machine, new bearings cleaned up the tub etc... just should have asked for some help from son when lowering it back in as dropping the tub c/w concrete blocks tends to smash everything on its way down and given the fact it is was 17 years old I decided no more investment in it was worthwhile!

The quick fix is to find a good condition bonnet in the right colour. Or if in the case of TBE the wings needed swapping as well.  ;D

Started testing circuits on the wiring loom - it now has working sidelights, dipped, main beam, hazards, indicators and wipers .. although the wipers are turning backward trying to bury the blades in the bodywork, so I need to turn the wheel boxes around  :-X ;D

Still no engine, mind.

It would pass an MOT, though.  ;D
