THE NEWENT PRAYER
« on: 01 September 2010, 15:40:51 »

THE NEWENT PRAYER
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
To Newent we come,
and work will be done
on cars, instead of at the garage.
Give us this weekend some decent weather,
and forget any raining,
as we fix all those things that really annoy us.
And lead us not into temptation,
to buy a BMW,
for ours is the Omega,
the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen. ;)

indeed
rule number one of an outdoor event, never mention the r*** word, but now it has been mentioned we all have to bring all the rain gear, including full racing wets on wheels, just to counter with the law of sod, that being, if we dont bring the wet gear it will r word down all day, and if we do bring wet gear it wont...let us pray.

and whats all this about buying a BMW? ......BLASPHEMY!!!  >:(

It reminds me of a similar sort of thing, back in the sixties, can't remember all of it, but it went something like this:-

A Ford is my auto
I shall not want another
It maketh me lie down in wet places
It anointeth my head with oil
