I ve got my first Omega...and I like it!
« on: 01 March 2008, 21:51:28 »

I have an Omega. It is in all essence a second car at the moment as it needs a little work. Good job Im a mechanic by trade but I usually work on Land Rovers and HGV's. My wife found it for £100 (!!) She thought it was an Astra(!!!) all the same it drives well and has proved it usefulness as a load-lugging estate.
We got it for such a low price because it needs a new wing, its dented. It came with tax and mot and £3.50 of loose change in the seats and £1.20 in copper in the footwell. Talk about "cash-back"!!
Anyway I ve got a 2.5 V6 Esatate in Green and nice Alloys. :D I LIKE IT!

Thanks for the welcome! Yes Illl have a good fun time with it. Ill use it for my hobby of flying model planes, towing the caravan and for spoiling the fun of boy racers in half pimped Fiat puntos! It's quick for a large Auto. Ill also have fun doing it up. No fancy body kits or engine jobs (well, maybe later on) but a new wing and sort a few minor faults. I got it as a Doer upper but both my wife and I think we may be on a winner with it and keep it. Good on fuel and cheap to insure. and a nice colour.

Hi KaptinK,welcome to the forum, i'm now on my third omega a 3.0 ltr MV6 auto estate, the other two were a 2.5 V6 GLS auto saloon and a 3.0 ltr elite auto, as said before they can be a bit dear to run but the joy of driving one makes up for that.

Hi there,
I have friends who own or have owned Omegas and they said theirs were thirsty and expensive. I have found by using my consumption computer thingy that I can get 38 MPG average on Motorways at 70mph. Ins. is cheap enough too. So I either have a good engine or dodgy Computer thingy. :D
