Welcome.  The Omega does make a great towcar.  The Senator v Omega debate is normally very passionate ;D

I think the Omega is a significantly better car - better handling, and faster.  But many ex-Senny owners always put on their rose tinted specs...

I must admit, I loved my Senator, it was the best car I have ever owned, and that is not through Rose tinted glasses, I travelled from the UK all over Germany in her and she never let me down, she was a 2.4 manual, like an armchair on wheels, saying that, I have never had an Omega so I can not really judge against the two BUT if the Omega is anything like the Senator, I will be more than happy, I pick mine up on Friday, she is a 2.2 TDI CDX, I also want her to tow my caravan, I am using a Mitsubishi Pajero 2.8 and I am getting 17 miles to the gallon towing, I hope I get more outof the Omega.

Hi Tankie, welcome aboard  :y

I too loved my Senator but in all honesty I have to agree with Jamie, the Omega is imho a better car all round (assuming a decent spec and right number of cylinders  8-) )
