Warranty work on XFR.
« on: 24 April 2019, 12:49:15 »

During her annual service early this month the mechanic noticed a slight weep from the rear diff pinion seal.

Cost to repair £456.33.

However, the car is still covered by the remains of a 2 year warranty so the work will be carried out free of charge. :y

They are picking the beast up at 2PM and leaving a RR Evoque for the duration.

It will probably be a 2 litre derv 180. :-X

Central locking fault (twice)

Folding mirror motor replacement.

Weeping rear diff.

The car was also initially fitted with incorrect rear tyres. 255MM when they should be 285MM.

Impressive that they're taking it in to change the diff seal though, when he could have given it a wipe and you'd have been none the wiser.  :y

Plus you get to test drive all of JLR's products.  :)

Insist on a top of the range Range Rover next time!  ;D

I presume they get paid the same for warranty work.

They have loaned me.

F-Type 5.0 V8 in both two and four wheel guise.

A 3.0S 300 bhp derv XF in a fetching shade of Caesium blue.

A 2.0D 180 XE.

I didn't want to give the F-Type's back. :y

By the time they've finished the warranty work, it'll be like Trigger's broom.  ;D
