What’s complicated about buying tyres online, they arrive and I fit them?

OK.............but I just drive to the tyre centre, I have as many free coffees I want whilst talking to the blokes, in the dry and warmth in front of their TV, as they fit them. Then I pay the bill. Simples

I know he does, but the tyre price I get includes "free" fitting, and whilst it is done I stay in the warm and dry drinking coffee as I said. Webby still has to do the work that I don't

When wholesalers buy a job stock from manufacturer, you get everything from the factory to fill a 45foot container,, I can recall from my days in the trade, company ordered 8 containers,  ours arrived,  upon opening up we were greeted by 100 wheel barrow tyres first, just filling the space, also those tyres young bear could have been repossessed from a trader that hasn't paid his bill, and returned to warehouse, then back into stock

So nearly 2.5yrs old one a tyre with a 5 year life (according to the tyre manufacturer).

That's unacceptable. Return them, or demand 50% off.

I have used Black Circles, and never had anything more than 3-4 months old. Though I tend not to use them because they are often expensive, and their local fitting agent there can't be trusted to make the tea, let alone touch the car.

TB..... exactly! If I’d have just gone with the cheapest I could find online and they turned up and were old I’d understand the reason they were cheaper as dg has pointed out. However I took the time to do the research and asked them the information I wanted. They confirmed what I wanted. What arrived didn’t match what the guy told me. They’re going back!

Lizzie, you are right. If fitting is free then fair enough. But even if i could get it done free I’d still do it myself at work cos I will take the time to clean the beads up to my liking, torque the wheels properly etc. Obviously I’m fortunate to have acess to the machine and balancer. But as said even if I could get some guy to fit them for free I’d still rather do it myself 👍

BG.... that’s a really good point. These tyres have probably been around the block 😂😂😂

If they won’t take them back they’ll be getting some shite reviews online. Probably won’t bother them but it’ll make me feel better. However that’ll leave me with these tyres.

Is it fair to say that in reality they’ll simply not last as long or do you think their age will have a detrimental effect on grip right out of the gate?

As said I will do everything I can to send them back / get new ones out but I’m just preparing myself for the possibility of them being a bunch of tossers and not taking them back?
