You fit extra gasket between lower manifold and head if needed or slacer plate wkth gasket (like a decomp plate but for inlets..

OUT OF curiosity has anyone skimmed heads om these whats the limit before intake fitment becomes a issue

2.5 and 2.6 head dont use the sodium filled valves... and as u say require fair bit of porting

Soo just easier to remkve my std heads have a good skim decoke.. rrcut seats relap valves and jist port match heads

Should make nice difference even if jist returns it to what its lost haha

Im doing loads of woek over course of next year to v6

Compression raise
Fast road cams.
Mild porting
Exh manifolds
Sports cats
And eithe piggyback ecu or aftermarket

So compression ratio raise to original v6 spec is what im going for... 3.2 and 2.6 were lowered for emissions and other stuff.. 3.0 and 2.5 had high comp so taking it to that before i start anything else

quick question then as side note

if thinking of having heads of and a skim before fitting new cambelt would it be worth using earlier kit with adjustable lower pulley. Im guessing buy early kit with eccentric lower pulley. Leave the top big plate on my engine swap new pulleys onto it and use adjustable lower pulley. As thinking of giving heads a good skim say 0.5mm maybe smidge more need to work it out... as wanting to get CR uo to 10.8.1

The kit i found comes with waterpump. Not made by conti bit aupplier of parts sells it with a waterpump.

Ill check engine number and buy right lit for engine with waterpump.

Yes all may use skf bearing but i trust conti or gates belts.

And for 150 all in with waterpump i think thays a fair price..

But i shall still shop around

Also mine a late 3.2 not 2.6

Id rather not be swapoing back plates etx

Wateprump issue dont buy a cheap one haha i swapped three on omegas v6 ive done always at cambelt and never had issues.. this had pump done at 75k with belt last time when my dad had car ...

It be getting swapped silly not to while belt being done

Im looking at Conti ct990k1 Timing Belt Kit+Water Pump VAUXHALL OMEGA B Vectra B 2.5 - 3.2 V6

Good price good brand but unsure if correct style as they do a ct990k2 version

My mv6 is 2003 facelift so it is on LSC as standard...

And no it should not be same both ends as omega runs a rake

690 rings a bell for standard iirc... Mv6 is - 15(675) and Eibachs - 30(660)... Also should be the same both ends :y

So front is pretty much where it will be with the Eibachs fitted. Thicker spring pads don't exist for the fronts.

If front sits rufly same thats great.. they do make spacers for front .. just listed for monaro as monaro springs fit omega shocks..

But im making them myself anyways

Rear spacers been made to get rear right with eibachs

My MV6 Is on original mv6 shocks and springs at 137k

car rides ok and isnt sagging.. still got rake and put four adults and boot of luggage is still ok

does anyone know the stock ride height of mv6

mine with handbrake on on flat ground measured from ground to centre of arch
front  663mm
rear 674mm

is this rufly right what should they be new mv6 wise?

im in process of replacing all suspension.. wishbones, idler arms, steering links, top mounts, bushes. And im going to fit new shocks and eibach springs.

but im going to fit thicker insulating bushes to SPRINGS try and get eibach spring sitting rufly as std MV6. but obviously they be a tad stiffer which be nice

not a different tcu ... A TCU CONTORLLER.

like a piggyback ecu or sorts i believe it is.

but even if a replacement the loom comes with so jst a case of swapping plugs from oem tcu with aftermarket one

think ill look into the shift kit first and upgrade fluid new filters etc again and see how it goes from there

Anyone fitted a 4L30E TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY SHIFT CORRECTION PACKAGE BY SUPERIOR.

or any other shift kits or uprated valves to teir 4l30e transmisson

thinking of ordering kit and installing it to see if can quicken up shifts especially 1-2

or see if can get a TCU controller for the 4l30e
