An idea..
« on: 14 July 2006, 10:49:08 »

If only I thought of this when I was earning money and not back at Uni...

Saw this on eBay:

Yup its a shed, but its LPG converted.

Could you buy the car, rip out the main LPG components and shove them on an Omega? I take it the injectors are differnt but the main tank and ECU could be salvaged?

Well you need a V6 as 4 and 6 use different systems.

I do not know what the system is as some older ones are a lot more work to fit.

As it is I can get hold of all or very near all the parts for SGI V6 for around £800.

Say around £700 for a 4- do not hold me to this and it depends how much pipe is required.

This is a similar setup to mine with 60l tank and injectors fitted to plenum.

At the moment my millage has dropped a lot, but when I start commuting again I maybe nocking on your door for an LPG fitment!

It was just an idea, buy a wrecked LPG car for pennies and steel all the good LPG bits like the tank

OK then but look for a 2l 4 cylinder car with sequential gas injection, if the injectors are too small it won't run well
