Omeage estate
« on: 19 August 2016, 16:41:35 »

Hi I have a 2L omega estate that I want to sell as I have just bought a 2.5v6 Omega estate. How do I best advertise the car?

Thanks

I know, but I was going to offer the entire car, 12 months MOT, to someone on here for £250. But I cant advertise.

So now I will take the car to pieces and sell all the parts separately.

I cannot understand why you wouldn't want people to sell spares etc to members that may only have the one bit left from years ago who have no interest in gaining 250 posts. It's called cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Thanks

Rules is rules and we all had to get the magic 250, before we could post, it doesn't take long once you get involved within the oof banter etc. ;)

It's not the point. You'd be surprised how many parts you're loosing out on because of aa silly rule. I mean why? Does 250 posts make you more trust worthy than someone with 1?

I threw out a brand new mk3 cavalier, genuine, bonnet when I moved house because of similar rules on other sites. It's those people who have really hard to find parts but don't want to be on a forum that you're missing out on.

One make forums/clubs have always been  terrible places to sell stuff relating to those cars. We know what stuff is needed, how rare it is, and what anyone is actually going to pay for it. Hell it's hard enough to give stuff(including whole cars) away, to expect a decent price or even a realistic collection date to make it worth spending much effort or time trying to do so. I've tried that with really rare stuff(mk1 Humber Sceptre glass was the last time) and after being informed that he'd been looking for years for a spare set, I was also told that 25miles was too far to collect free parts!
