Tried and tried and tried and tried to get that d*m oil filter cap off.                                                     Failed  :'( :'( :'(

Worrying thing is how long has it been stuck on, the filter could be several years old, so is doing no use at all. I've just ordered a 2ft breaker bar, and if that fails, I'll have to take it to the stealers to get it done.

Changed the oil, and hopefully fixed the self leveling error, the arm that fits into the body sensor had come out.

Ken

No use it popped out again, superglue ?.

no mate, it needs to rotate in the sensor body with suspension movement. If it keeps falling out, replace, its fubar.

It might be worth greasing the ball up, and hope the suction holds it in, but ime that only lasts a couple of days at best.

5 series had developed an annoying rattle at the back end. Had a look underneath, and the heatshield around the final silencer was loose. Or more to the point had corroded around one of the fastening nuts. Dug out a new nut and put a couple of large washers on. Simple job, but very effective. Car is silent now :y :y

Continued putting the MR2 back together as a standard car.. discovered more bits I'm missing (the perils of moving house) to do so. Realised I've already spent £150 on bits and still need half an airbox, O2 sensors, exhaust rubbers and probably other bits I've not yet realised I'm missing, got pissed off with it and came back in again. Should have just sold it with all the mods on it..
