How do you not notice when someone takes c£125 from your bank account every week for 5 years?  ??? ??? I'm not trying to deflect from the thieving ex-husband, but how would you not notice someone nicking £30k  ;)

I guess if you have that much money that you do not need to check your statement every month how else would you know, believe me, I would know............ :D :D :y

It wasn't "her" money he was stealing ... so she didn't check the account .. it was the brother in laws account as I read it ... and she only found out when there was none left .....  :(

I can't understand it. he spent the money on a barge but there's no mention of him giving it up as proceeds of the crime >:(

surly he would have to pay something back >:(

The very last sentence is ...... Speaking after sentencing, Pc Sarah Langley added "that police had restrained his barge in an attempt to recoup what we can of the victim's lost cash".
