Well a little update....

Finally got round to changing the modulator and control unit for a known good one. Pedal certainly feels firmer than ever, even though I have bled the system at least 3 times since I have owner the car.

No lights so far either.

I agree, it is a PITA getting to, I can only imagine how hard it would be on a V6. Just getting a spanner to the pipes is almost impossible. Also managed to lose one of the supporting pegs into the chassis rail, so had to fabricate another one.
