dutch omega driver
« on: 07 September 2015, 19:03:13 »

Hello,
After my former car (citroen xantia with almost 600k on the dail) broke down i needed a bigger car to accomodate my 4 great danes. As i always had GM cars in the past but from tge usa. My decision fell on a 1999 omega caravan 100th edition with 2.5 V6 in complete original condition that needed a lil TLC but with a firm base. So far i had no major issues appart from a worn rear bearing and soon to fix oil leak. For the rest it suffers from the common problems like doorcards that need the plastic strip fix, and a door lock solenoid who proves to be a real pain.( allready fixed the microswitch but it still seizes so i suspect a failing elektromotor. The radio CD 441 XED gives a to hot message after about 45min so that will be replaced for a kenwood KDC-BT8044U from 2009 as these are the last ones that still has display support AND allready has bluetooth and USB. (The HU and interface are on auction tonight on ebay.for the rest you will see my future posts onhere
Best regards,
Ratboy
