Windscreen story
« on: 29 August 2009, 20:00:02 »

About 2 months ago had a new windscreen fitted, kept it a bit quiet as it was done by those people who are not regarded very highly on here. Anyway I stayed and watched the fitter throughout the job and I thought all was well.

So had a longer journey to do today and as my speed increased to 60+ mph I had a horrible noise coming from behind the dashboard. My father and I where pushing and tapping everything, but as soon as I slowed down noise dissapeared, though this was going to be one heck of a problem to find.

However when we gout out of the car the problem was obvious, the windscreen top surround had come un clipped and was rattling, pushed it back in and no more noise. The noise travelled down the A post and appeared to be in the middle of the dashboard, strange how noise can travel.

Sorry for such a long post.
