I find it amusing that the need for PCR testing is being removed as 11/01, they think there are staffing problems now, well wait until every bugger can just report a positive LFT to get 10 days away from work with no questions asked nor do they have to prove they are infected via a confirmation PCR

Anyone got a bit of decorating needing doing or suchlike :)

Sheer lunacy

I've just sold my mint 17k 1996 Omega, got a very good price and I am comfy in the knowledge that it's the best Omega in existence and will live a cosseted life in what is likely the best private collection in the country.

Mercedes have announced they will appeal the result of the race. And rightly so.
Regulations say all lapped cars should be allowed to unlap themselves. They allowed the cars between Hamilton and Versatappen to do this, but not the cars behind Verstappen.
If they had followed the rules, by the time the lapped cars caught up with the pack, there wouldnt have been time to start racing again.
Robbed is the perfect word for it.
The problem is, it is now much more Disney style showbiz than motor racing as we knew it, so to take the title back off Verstappen now (which has never happened before) will hurt the image badly, so I will be very surprised if it happens.
I would imagine Masi will be quietly replaced before next season but it doesnt help what happened today.

But do we want the race to finish under the safety car?

At least we had a 'wheel to wheel' last lap race.

F1 has little excitement as it is and if the race had finished with the pack slowly following Hamilton around it would have been very dull.

At least it would have been a legitimate result ! he was robbed pure and simple

I thought Hamilton looked quite rattled after the race, I guess if someone is prepared to try and put you into a wall at 150 +  mph it could unsettle you somewhat  :o

I think that next time these lunatics glue themselves to the road the plod should just leave them glued, they'll soon start whining when they need a number 2

Quite reassuring to see a picture of a "heavily armed police officer" raiding a suspect house in full camo military gear, night vision set up and holding what looks to be a silenced C8 carbine, looks like the Hereford Police might be lending a hand up here, very much appreciated :y

If Martin Brundle gets his tongue any further up Spiceboys arse he'll likely disappear, it was killing him to have to praise Hamilton yesterday.

The device didn't seem large enough to have done much damage. The explosion we saw was confined to the car and didn't exactly blow it apart. I'm assuming there was no shrapnel as I don't think the driver would have walked away if there was.
TCV/Stab screen would have taken the initial hit. But a lucky escape nevertheless.

Private hire car so doubt it had any additional screening, badly made bomb ( thankfully) by the looks of it

Video of the blast makes for shocking viewing, seemed the scumbag was heading for the remembrance parade at the main cathedral but didn't get there in time due to traffic so asked the taxi driver to pull into the hospital where it went off  >:(. The driver apparently wouldn't let him out of the cab as he knew summat was up and thankfully wasn't too badly hurt. Nice to see a gofund me page has been set up to cover the drivers wages during his recovery.

Police response seems to have been pretty good and I hope the three arrested are currently getting a good shoeing.
