Hunter Hawkeye Kwik fit.
« on: 13 July 2018, 17:44:16 »

I'm confused. :-\

As far as I can see the figures bear no similarity to those from Jaguar......although they seem more comprehensive.

Another thing.

Why are the 'before' and 'current' measurement different? No adjustment was made so surely they should be the same. ??? ??? ???

There is nothing wrong with the Hunter machine, its the knuckle draggers who'd be doing the adjustments I'd be afraid of

I did mention that he was using data for the X260 where mine is an X250.

"Exactly the same mate" was his articulate reply. :)

The fitter I spoke to 'walked upright' rather than dragging his knuckles along the ground, so I thought I may be OK. :) :-* :-* :-*

Ah, that would be Homo Sapien Monkey, a species known to exist in certain garages, especially those of Kwik-Fittup! ;D ;D ;)

Given the huge difference in front toe, probably worth checking for play before having it sorted.

WIM are the specialist on this sort of thing, might be worth a PM to wheels-inmotion on this site for comment.

I use to use them for tyres, not much to go wrong, really. But with the TPMS on most cars now, I think I'd probably worry about them ballsing it up.

No end of problems with TPMS going tits up on the Jaguar forum, and often expensive to repair. Also, faulty TPMS is an MOT failure I believe.  :-\

TPMS......the solution to a problem that doesn't exist. :(

You would think that STEMO, but last year they tried to renew the wrong tyre on my daughter's car, and say that the tyre needed replacing, not the other, after an MOT inspector at a Renault main dealer failed the tyre they were prepared to pass fit and replace a perfectly good one.  I loved telling the manager in their reception in a loud voice exactly what was wrong with Kwik-Fit, and no one argued with me, with some potential customers leaving! ;D ;D ;)

It's another EU fuel saving system. If you're tyres are at exactly the right pressure, you will save one thimbleful of fuel per 1000 miles. And emit sufficiently less CO2 to save the life of an ant.  ;)

My local garage told me it had quadrupled, so gave me details of a guy, who happens to live around the corner from me, who is still using gas he bought last year, so was a lot cheaper than them.
It still cost me £60, but considering I was going to Silverstone in 30 degree heat the next day, it was money well spent.
Swmbo moans its too cold in the car now though.  ::) ;D

I was at a camera fair a few years back, and in a conversation with one of the regular stallholders, she chanced to mention that she NEVER nagged!
Collapse of all men within earshot.
I checked with her husband and he confirmed - "never has, not ever".
So, it IS possible; trouble is, he wouldn't let me marry her!  :( :( :(

Yep, that would do ir. Also, I favour the approach taken by a pub near Wareham; it's called "The Silent Woman" and the inn sign depicts a headless woman - that will stop her moaning!  :y :y :y

I heard that some factories were offline for maintenance, and another one(s) suffered a problem causing a long shutdown, so only 1 or 2 factories left producing in Europe currently.
