If that's what the manual calls for...  :-\

AGM batteries are better suited to being hammered by stop start systems. And they're typically 2-3 times the price of a traditional battery.

Unfortunately that's the price you pay for 50-60mpg and £30 rfl...
not needing a battery but i went onto e,p,s web site put my reg in & up popped an advert for batteries, couldn,t believe the cost of them.

its that time of year for a m.o.t & service. its an oil query - does a vehicle with stop - start tech need a special oil ( tech manual specifies  0/30 synthetic ) ,last year opie oil recommended Total Quartz which cost me nearly half of as much that ep were wanting. also if a new battery is ever needed , not a lot of change out of £ 450 whats wrong when that time comes of getting a good amperage & sticking that on.  :-\

Probably caused by some grease becoming too stiff for the motor to start.

Once running they get pretty hot.

Sometimes they just die. I took mine apart when it died and it had a tiny little piston in a tiny cylinder to create the pumped air. The piston had blown through the cylinder and jammed up. The fixer in me wanted to mend it but in the end I just chucked it in the bin.  :)
no its operating fine now. :y

when the wife & i had our jabs we were given a badge type sticker & also a card with the details ,date names health No etc so that is our proof i suppose.   many years ago with being a seaman i had to have a W.H.O book that stated all immunisation jabs that one has had. that was usually ok until a trip to west africa or western south america where a ship may do up to 30 ports along each coast & the local doctor would not recognise any of the previous doctors jabs & we had to have them again . did 14 ports alone in Chile & got 8  yellow fever needles. even returned to Valparaiso on our way up the coast & was given another jab & the same clinic had given us all the previous one. merchant ships at that time carried 40 - 60 crew., so a good earner for the local quacks & i doubt very much if the contents of the syringes had the real mcoy in them.

I put up a new fence at a rental property a couple of years ago and painted it with used Genuine GM 10W40.  I was there a few weeks ago and noticed that the water was still beading on the wood, so it'll last for years.  :y
i dare not do that on my front fence as 3 school buses pick up & drop off school kids & the road is only a narrow one. i would get irate mums screaming for new uniforms

i have a battery operated tyre inflator that is kept in my boot . it will also work on a 12v supply. yesterday i had a warning that right rear needed inflation but the machine would not work on both battery or 12v supply although when switched on it did have a momentary attempt at starting. the battery was fully charged & 12v supply is ok. the outside temperature was well below freezing & i wondered if the coldness made it behave as it was because as when i took it indoors it started to work, :-\

Not necessarily true. Amazon will have said that they have handed over to relieve themselves of the responsibility whether Hermea actually have it or not.

But I refer you to my post a few days ago regarding snoe and flooding, not to mention staffing issues brought aboit by the Chinese Virus. Even if they have it they cannot deliver it if they don't have the ability to.

Of course, rather than moaning to the interweb about it, you could be proactive and go and get it :-X
on hermes site they have said that they have it . that issue is not disputed . today i was told by Amazon the allocated driver for some reason never picked it up ,nor anything else. all they would say it was a driver issue. as for picking it up myself how would that be possible if i cannot speak to a human to arrange things. also what Amazon,s contact did hint at ( reading between the lines )she mentioned a day next week when it may arrive. so my guess is the driver has probably gone into a 10 day isolation.

another hermes complaint. ordered an item from Amazon & initially was emailed with a delivery date of Sunday 24th . that never happened & was changed to Monday 25th . tracking shows my purchase arrived at my local depot in the early hours of the 25th but it wasn,t delivered . since that date the tracking message says " We have your parcel but there is a delay & we aim to get it moving within 24 hours. it now as I post 93 hours. the frustrating thing there is no way of speaking to a human.  >:( >:(
That's what you get when a self proclaimed delivery company uses a third party to deliver its products. You can't entirely blame Hermes if they're being used by Amazon as an excuse for their own inability to meet their contractual obligations.
hermes has had my package at their local depot since 06.27 Monday 25th. this morning i am still getting " We will have your parcel moving within 24 hours,"    and it isn,t  the chatline is a waste of time too, cannot speak to anybody.

Aldi regularily have 1 lt tins of Metal Paint in white, black, grey or green.
This is the same as and as good as Hammerite and less than half the prices mentioned.
I've used it for years and can vouch for it's effectivness when either brushed, rolled or sprayed.
It appears about four times a year in their stores and I usually have a couple of each colour for vehicles and garden.
Worth watching for .
i once did buy a ltr tin of paint from aldi to paint the metal on a car trailer but it was so weak it would ve needed quite a few coats
