Well I hope not, no pressure on it anywhere that I'm aware of. In that pic  I've removed the extra padding that was there to get it out of the car.

After some 'adjustment' of the slam panel it seems to fit ok 



I don't know exactly what I'm doing, having never attempted this kind of repair before but logic seems to be working so far!

Looks OK in the picture, fitting the headlight trims will soon tell you...

Only reason I mention it is that if you look at the back of the grill frame you'll see two dimples, with further dimples as you look back up either edge... These are the fold points for the bonnet crumple zone. Front one is the weakest one as it points in a different direction to the rest of it

Ah, ok fingers crossed I got away with it! I do seem to have a slightly wider gap on the passenger side bonnet edge to wing than on the drivers and I can't work out how I would adjust that....

Unbolt the front and top of the wing, and pull the slam panel forward a smidgen where the radiator frame side is... Roughly where the cable retainer is... Then close bonnet, push wing to position and tighten the front bolt under the indicator. Then open bonnet and tighten wing top bolts.

Repeat as required  takes time but results can be quite satisfying when it all lines up beautifully
