Thanks Serek
« on: 11 June 2016, 11:35:12 »

For the first time in about ten years, I was forced to pay someone to work on my car, due to my back injury - and I clearly made a great choice in getting someone to help with the driving and going to see Serek :y

Despite quite short notice, Serek fitted me in for track rods, discs and pads, ARB bushes, droplinks, and a cat converter change - and an aircon regas, on my BMW 530. He also had arranged for a business around the corner to set up the tracking, which was a nice surprise, as I was expecting to have to get that sorted separately, afterwards.

The attention to detail was, as expected, better than most garages, with some reassuringly nice touches. A very honest business, clearly passionate about cars with the knowledge to back it up.

I wouldn't hesitate to go back - and will no doubt visit again while I'm unable to do things for myself. If you want anything doing on your Omega, or any other car - give him a shout.

He's developing quite a reputation. Nice to see a good, honest businessman getting the credit he deserves.  :y

Serek is here:-  http://www.sos-automotive.com/
About 140 miles from York, so ignore the fuel costs, fill up, make an appointment and go there!
You will be seen at the appointed time, have a perfect job done and at a good price.

It's a pity i'm not closer to serek. as it's a pain in the arse trying to find a decent garage to do a decent job at a decent price.

Cheers

If you can find something to do in the local area, why not drop the car off early, and get a bus into town for the day (not that I have *any* idea what's in Huntingdon, despite having an Aunt in St Ives).

I would happily recommend him and his gang :y

If you can find something to do in the local area? Hotels close by? Its fickin Huntingdonshire. If he has to do any major work, you could die of boredom.

According to Gixer, that's Northamptonshire.  It makes you have a desire to never spend more than 99p and get suckered into "bargains" because of a 99.9% sale.

Huntingdon is in Cambridgeshire...

No you're wrong Jaime - you know Gixer was/is never wrong despite being a t**t

However the real purpose of my post is my thanks also to Serek - spent part of today over at his place having some work done on the 2.6 Estate.  At my age can't be rsed any more to crawl under motors.  His is a very professional setup, carrying out the work as you require, to a high standard, with attention to detail and checking all work done.  Plus you get coffee, good conversation and the opportunity to watch the work being carried out.  On top of that prices are very reasonable.

SOS get my recommendation any day - thanks mate!!
