KWP2000 ECU Flasher
« on: 07 August 2006, 14:46:34 »

Has anyone used this piece of kit before? It lists the four pot OmegaB as having a Simtec70/90 ECU but Vauxhall states its a Simtec 56.1.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ECU-FLASHER-KWP2000-INTERFACE-320-cars-supported_W0QQitemZ220009675937QQihZ012QQcategoryZ30921QQcmdZViewItem

Is S70/90 the proper name for this ECU or would I be wasteing my money.

I really need a way of editing the map to increase fueling for on boost applications :(

Cheers!

Hi

The Simens Simtec is definetly the 56.1 (the earlier version) and either 56.4 or 56.6 for the later version.  Either way Simtec 70 / 90 is incorrect - at least for the Vauxhall fitment.  I have the 56.1 in my 1995 Cavalier.

I am afraid that I cannot help with editing the map for fueling - I am not into mods like this.  Would you gain any noticeable improvement though?  I would have thought that other areas would also require attention like the cams, engine breathing etc although you may well of course already have done this.

Hope the ECU info helps though.

I'm not talking about mapping for the XEV, I've got a ZLET block to go in and I'm looking at my options before I butcher the loom beyond repair  ;D
