I'm kinda thinkin, not exactly local but not a million miles, holiday etc, might just get there.

But not 100 % . . . . . yet. I seem to recall that there's a John Lewis somewhere along the M40 on the way, so maybe drop the Mrs off for some retail therapy  :y  Actually NOT  :y  spend cash so  >:(

The more the merrier Rog. :y

John Lewis is about four miles from the meet. We are on the Amersham side of Wycombe. Coming from London (M40) you can exit at Beaconsfield, or Wycombe East, or Handy Cross

I am gobsmacked :o

The responses to our earlier meets were beyond expectations, but the response to this meet is fantastic. If ianu does come, we will have professional pictues of the event, I am sure. You will see your Omega in a new light!!!!!!
To first timers, we do rolls, sausages, tea, coffee, wine, beer spirits, plenty of room if the weather is bad. Then after, there is the curryhouse up the road for those interested.

Brilliant  :y :y

What sort of time is everyone there to as I may decide to purchase a set of the 16" m/f/l alloys off ebay, so would have to travel from Kent to Lancashire first before coming back down to the meet which is about 8 hours and 450-odd miles.

If people do not start leaving until late, I may buy the wheels first.

Unless of course the person selling them is on here and is attending?

People usually start turning up from 11.00am onwards.......then leave when they get kicked out. I may have to go to Brackley to stay afterwards, so meeting would have to finish about 7pm ish, giving me and Chris time to clear up and lock up.
I will say, it was about 9.00pm ish last time when the 'leftovers' went for a curry ;D ;D ;D

Pushing it a bit to go from Kent to Lancs and back :o

Not really. Only about 550miles round trip, including High Wycombe. Leave home around 6am, get there around 10.30am, allow 30 minutes delay and chatting time then 4 hours back to you guys. Arrival to you around 3-4pm potentially.

I have done North Yorkshire and back in a Fiesta in a morning for a £10 rear window for my Escort cabby that I did not want broken by courier

Thought about staying at Prem Inn, but that really would make me a lazy b$"&*d  ;D as it's only about 45 mins for me if roads are clear. I'm going to aim at a round 1pm. Look for a slightly battered silver X reg 2.5 Elite Estate with a big hole into which I shovel cash  ;D

Just wondering . . .      ::)

For months I've been trying to get my knackered double din CCR2006 unit out, totally failed, got removal tools etc, almost resorted to big hammer !   >:(

Is anyone attending who is a world expert on audio unit removal ? I'm not asking for the unit to get fixed, just removed so I can get it repaired or replaced (if I can find a Bose unit that is).

If you are definitely coming, Paul, I'll have to get Chris to double up on the grub. ;D ;D

The weather forecast is very good.....sunny and hot. Only light wind forecast so the patio will be a sun trap. I'll have to dig out the sunshades.
I won't be putting the gazebo's up this year, so builders bums hanging out of engine bays will have to be sunburnt ;D ;D

I'll see if I can find some 'feed' for the Red Kites, to see if we can get a display like last time. :y

Look forward to seeing a bumper exhibition of Omega's :y

Rog....I am the Treasurer of the community centre (with a lot of authority ;D) I have exclusive use for the day....there is no charge. All I want is a good turnout of omega's ( last meet was around twenty members ) to keep the spirit of OOF going.
We just ask for a donation for sausages in rolls etc, tea coffee to cover my expenses. Not after any profit.
Any money I take over the bar helps the community centre :y

Sorry guys, looks like I won't be coming tomorrow now as I am running behind on the building work on the house/garden as I got rained off on Saturday so am a day behind already. Currently sitting with a building site where the garden used to be, only half the plastering done in the bathroom and the raised decking is now missing its disintegrating boards.

Many thanks to Tony & Chris for laying on today, it was brilliant, the venue, food, drink and best of all, the hot weather we had, not to mention the 23 omegas sat in the carpark  :y

Many thanks to RobseyMV6 for the part and helping to fit it  :y

Many thanks to TB for the TechII  :y

Many thanks to ianu for the headlight restoration  :o and the use of his detailer to wipe the bird shite  >:( from the paintwork  :y

Nice to meet some new and old faces today and hope to see you all again  :y

Likewise - thanks Tony and Chris, a great day again  :y.
Great to see so many new and familiar faces and I think we had the full engine line up today with a rare TD appearance from Tim  ;).
Every day a school day - we learnt that you can grow herbs in the pollen filter housing  ???, it's possible to be a complete novice with a polishing machine on someone elses headlights without doing any damage, and obviously the colour of Bens car seems to attract bird sh*te  ;D.

Give me a few days to filter through the photos I took and I'll get them up as soon as possible. Early indications for those that were worried - are pretty positive. I'll do my best with the t*rd Josh  :D.

Cheers
Ian.

Peeps....you are more than welcome :y It gives us great pleasure to sort the meet, and know you all had a great time. Ten of us went to the curry house at the crossroads, just got home ;D
As Ben said....23 Omega's....fantastic. Also Kevin's Westfield and Josh's dads Porsche. I'll put up some pics shortly, as I am sure Ian will. And thanks to Ian for cleaning my headlights, its great knowing me and Chris can go out after dark now ;D
Good to see new faces, hope you all enjoyed it. A wealth of knowledge here, all you have to do is ask :y
My forehead is starting to glow and burn now ;D ;D

Tony.....(and Chris)

Great day Tony. Thanks a lot. I've not been to a meeting before, but if this is the norm, then I'll be at more of them.

Special thanks to TB and Ben, and I hope that the lady with grass and compost in her 2.2 drainage thingy appreciates Ben cleaning it all out for her !   :y

Iam bringing along my ccr2006 that ive never got round to fitting, but ive decided to get rid of it if anyone wants it? Only thing is, the face is cc metallic, dull silver, and ive not tested it, but its there if anyone wants it to do what they wish with. Iam still looking for a good condition black one with cage and code at the right price  ;)

I could very well be interested . . . . IF I can get the old one out  ;)

Thanks again Ben   :y Not tried it yet, but I'll let you know

Once again, Tony and Christine provided us all with an excellent venue, and day!
It was good to meet some new faces aswell, and also a big thanks to Al, Andy, Jaime and Rob for the various jobs completed on my car.

Certainly look forward to the next one, and I may even start to think about organising the next Oxford meet  :y

The job I remember doing really requires a new rubber joint (it's split) on the T piece and a tie wrap to hold the vac pipes away from the aux belt in future  :)

Bare - bear  :-\ with me for the photos. Nearly a 100 to sort through and not many bad ones either  :P - although it's proving difficult to crop out Tony's multiple car appearances in every photo  :D
Hopefully have the short list by the end of the week  :y

Cheers
Ian.
