And then I remember when I had the same problem the vx dealer lied to me and told they had changed the cam sensor, when clearly they hadn't  >:( >:( as you diagnosed the problem  :y
I never did go back and ram the old cam sensor up the jacksie of the service manager.....but wish I had.....
Blimey, yes, I remember that now.  Poor starting, and Tech2 clearly showed the P0340 code :y

116,000 on my tourer now, apart from the oil leak, :-[ and a noisey lifter, it runs fine, oil service every 5000 without fail. :y
