That's on my ten car garage for me, too. Black jag, no chrome. Spot on.  :)

It does look like a lovely car .. and I'd very much like someone to give me an F-Type, but this is the ideal black-on-black-on-black Jag for me:

Harwoods were offering a £5000 reduction on this, and others, presumably because the new 66 registration is due on 1st September.

So I thought 'what the hell' :y

Comes with a 2 year approved warranty. I imagine there are plenty of 'exclusions' but hopefully it is worth slightly more than the paper it is written on should I need to make a claim.

FJSH last serviced 400 miles ago. 8 speed auto box is nice and smooth and the car is quick enough to keep up with the general flow of traffic. :)

It is all the 'mortality threads' from Rods and yourself that made me buy it.

You know the sort of thing. Middle aged man dies of a stroke/heart attack ...etc..etc.

Very nice, FatherT has XF but not with the bonkers engine. Very impressive car, interior is pure class, love the way the gear shifter rises up  8)

Anything as vulgar as a V8 would have Lyons spinning in his grave but, in this instance, I agree. Splendid indeed.   :-* :-*

At last! After all the stress of worrying about parting with a few pounds, you've bought yourself the car you really wanted. Now go and enjoy yourself.................while you still can.  ;D

It is very well made. It is also very civilised. The leather is soft and classy.

The engine has a certain 'Detroit' way about it but the rest of the car is very calming.

Wonderful sound system with 10 CD hard drive.

Quite quick, too. :)

Bastard to clean. :-\

XF was on list of possible replacements, and I even managed to take an extended 6hr test drive in a 3l NA petrol one :)

Not sure I could live with the seats in the example I drove though.

Also, a step down from the Omega in cabin and boot space, and so much had to be done via flicking through pages on the touchscreen rather than a simple button.  Even the most basic stuff like seat heaters.

Its not entirely crossed off the list yet, as its the closest I've been to finding a successor, but the slight disappointment has made me want to keep the old Omega going.

(Lord Opti, put your fingers in your ears)
And I'd have to have an oil burner.
