Gearbox rubber rear mount
« on: 15 February 2009, 22:59:03 »

Are these prone to collapsing, was under my car today working on the manifold issue now semi resolved.

The rubber at the rear of the gearbox looks all squashed has any one got any pics of what it should look like?

Car is a 2.0 manual.

Hi

Anyone got any ideas on this?

The piece I am questioning is the rear mount where the gearbox sits on a rubber thats bolted to the bottom of the car.

Cheers  :y

If you support the gearbox these are easy to whip off and have a look at. I replaced mine but actually the original was OK. They're very soft even when new.

Hi JasonH

Thankyou for your response, do you have a price of how much replacements are from VX, I may just get one for piece of mind.  :y
