I agree tbh. Sunroof is pretty pointless, and a potential cause of problems. :y

Agreed. Not to mention a load of weight as far above the roll axis as it's possible to get. Pointless, as you say.

Cd spec cars sometimes have a sunroof.  May have been an optional extra I suppose ?
All the Elite toys etc are pretty easy to retrofit, apart from self levelling, and that is something you wouldn't want anyway, unless you plan on towing a caravan regularily, imo.
PFL/MFL CD had sunroof as standard. I didn't think it was an option on FL CD (but could be mistaken)

I wouldn't be without my sunroof in my cars :)

The FL ones are prone to having the paint flake off, bloody GM penny pinchers :(

Nor would I, the climate control doesn't replace a sunroof, but complements it. I rarely bother with the CC when external temperature is between 10 and 20° but use the roof. But, the CC is set to 20° and auto, so it's just a matter of turning it on or off. Except for the demist functions, I've never needed any of the other settings.

To be honest i don't really link a sunroof with a/c.... The ac is great for demisting and in a hot summer but i like a sunroof to simply feel fresh air in the car with the windows up, its a different feeling when your driving which i like, the temp of the cabin is not the main event in wanting a sunroof, as we all know most car now and all omega's have a/c and as such its a mute point.

Works fine on 2 of the 3 cars (the other decided to redistribute the compressor around the engine bay ;D)

That would explain it, as the car I mentioned was a p/fl CD spec car.  :y
