IR / alarm not working
« on: 05 August 2014, 15:31:59 »

Hey guys,

I have 4/94 Opel Omega B 2.5 V6 CD, with IR locking not working. I have 2 original keys:

they are both worn, but both LED's are lighting after pressing unlocking key.

But car is not responding to these keys, when I try to sync classically (turn on ignition and press unlock) nothing happens. I've changed batteries in keys but no success.

It has also alarm button on dashboard, but this button doesn't working too. Simply nothing happens, I can press it million times. However, I don't know, how this alarm should work, but I had Vectra B '97 with probably RF locking, with alarm button too, and it at least start blinking red light while nothing happens. This Omega's no reaction, no blinking.

It has same ECU for IR locking and alarm right?

Dunno about immobiliser, I can open car with key mechanicaly, and normally start engine, no problem.

My only problem is, that I can't open car keyless, remote. I want to sort it out, any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

PS: I'm sorry for my english, isn't my native :-[

Bump, no one has ideas what to check?

I would start with checking fuse, ECU of IR, wiring, etc. but I don't know where are those located. Can someone help please?

Thanks.
