iv,e had my inlet manifold off twice wasn,t too bad. i never removed the battery. first time though i dropped one of the rear nuts whilst reassemble which was a pain to retrieve as it went behind the starter motor. you may want to put some thing under manifold to prevent it. if you need to replace the manifold gaskets range rover dealers were doing them cheapest  :y :

Omega General Help / prime pump td

its the third time this has happened. i seem to drive about 300mtrs and it just dies on me. i cleaned lift pump & swirl pot out last time ( about 3 weeks ago) & its been ok since. is there a relay for the pump. the fuse is ok, but if i,m reading the fuse chart right the front seat adjustment are on the same fuse & the are not working. :-/

Omega General Help / update td filters
« on: 09 February 2010, 22:32:15 »
first of all a big thanks to sethsmate & hoofing it for their pms re- my recent fuel starvation problems. after cleaning out lift pump & draining 35 litres from tank i turned my attention to the swirl pot. it was n,t too dirty & even though receiving instructions on how to i never took it out. instead i cleaned around the bottom of the tank using a clean paint brush and a sponge, the swirl pot i used a very small paint brush & a small sponge. in the swirl pot i found a small piece of finger from a glove (the latex diposable type) my guess is that was what caused the blockage. however all back together now & its running sweetly. Cheers lads  :y :y

i v,e a hotstart fix job fitted, but i think i,m  right in saying we are prone to a lazy starter motor prob that prevents it from starting, especially when warm. :y
