code 19 - incorrect rpm signal. this code has popped up on a pc test. can somebody please enlighten me of the cause & cure . thankyou. :)

IanD noticed that there was a distinct noise from the front whilst engine was running. its now developed into a high pitch squeal when accelerating - no coolant or oil loss  :-/

thanks for that i thought after a hours attempt it was the way ahead. i,ll get new gaskets as they wasn,t changed when glow-plugs were done. :y :y :y

i cannot get to the top bolt on the starter motor..  does the inlet manifold have to come off to gain access i,m stuck at the minute. :-/ :-/

i waited whilst it got dark purposely so i could shine a bright light to try & source of leak - black plastic o/s jubilee clip n/s both jubilees that go to egr show signs of leakage, does that indicate turbo? - no oil on front & sides of engine as previously indicated. rad cowl covered. :y

i did follow that thread - but if it is oil mist from the ,turbo as described. how is that cured ? clips, pipes etc i,ll check but it,s the initial cause i want to cure.  :y

the oil-leak from what i believe to be from the turbo has got worse lately. oil all over front of engine, rad etc. my specific question how do i cure it? iv,e never worked on a turbo. help please.
