coolant loss on a Corsa

Chap at work has a 1.4 07 plate Corsa and each week he is topping up the coolant with about 300ml coolant. It has had a pressure test and a new bottle cap, but still having to top up each week. Any ideas :-\

Heater matrix,radiator,water pump,lose clip on hose,or a leak.

Mileage? Rad is a possibility too or split on the thermostat to rad hose... Follow the pink trail ;)

He puts antifreeze in each time, he said that he had looked online and it said look at timing chain gasket ? would that not be an oil leak  ???. I have not looked at it myself and as things are at the moment will not get time as I have a few jobs of my own to do first,

Service on both MV6 and Elite
Rebuild TD5 engine I have in the garage and fit to wife's Disco or I'm dead very soon.
Fix brothers DTI fuel pump issues and fix his son's Civic's steering rack :o
Plus a few jobs on my van before winter sets in, could be to late on that one :-\

Water pump......next question?

It will either be the seal or the little nylon pipe fitting on the water pump.....either way it's a new water pump.

Had a corsa of the same vintage come in a few weeks back. losing water and had a code for ''insufficient coolant flow'' or something similar.

what on earth is it that senses the flow  ???

we didn't get to diagnose it further sadly but we suspected water pump (or were at least going to look in that direction iirc)
