Sat at home looking out of the window I can see a bright white single light , it appears about the same time every night just after 2100 hrs . It first appears at approx 270 degrees in the west and in have an hour it has moved over to 280 degrees .
I don’t think it is an aircraft as it only appears to move sideways and does not get any closer or further away , and it repeats this every night .
Any ideas what it could be ?
Apparently SWMBO reckons it is the space station ?

Seen that the other night, one of our floating rocks rouns the solar system no doubt. Mars or Venus!

Won’t be the space station, that passes where we can see it in the sky in under a minute.

Venus?
Quite possibly.
Low down on the horizon and very bright.

Theres an app for your phone that tracks the ISS.
Used to see it quite clearly if we were out at the right time of night. :y

Over the years we have seen plenty of stuff in the nights sky here in Spain. Often cloudless. The ISS is very obvious. We once had the joy of seeing the servicing rocket split from it on its way back to earth.
the best thing we saw was a top secret solar powered drone capable apparently of circumnavigating the globe. Not that top secret as the internet had info on it and its location. I think there is more stuff up there being tested that anyone lets on away from commercial air routes.
