Norman "Bites yer legs" Hunter

RIP ...  :(

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/52246007

From an era when football was played by men.

Players of today would not last five minutes if they had to take the tackles from the fifties and sixties.
Wrong way round, Opti. Norman would be red carded every game and spend most of his time unemployed.

In the old days the goalie could be knocked out cold. If he ended up in the back of the net still holding the ball it was a goal. ;D

Yes, what a great pirate radio station that was.  Simon Dee, Johnnie Walker, Tony Blackburn, etc, etc made our teens far more pleasant and less boring than the light programme!  We felt like rebels listening to this illegal station along with Radio London.  Better than the poor signal coming out of Radio Luxembourg.

RIP that man, he gave us some real fun! 8) 8)

I remember knocking seven bells out of my parents old valve wireless to try and get a better reception.  :D. As said, Caroline and London were a godsend. RIP Ronan, you saved our young lives. 8)

I believe the reprobate scouser and his ancestors took regular sea voyages during the Victorian era. One way trips to Australia. :)
