Are the dash PCBs the same on every model or different?
3.2 petrol compared to 2.2 DTi for instance

There are variations, obviously a 2.2dti will have a very different rpm gauge to.

Have you checked the fuses and tried reseating the cluster?

As per the guide... :-X

To put it another way, swapping all the cluster components won't fix it...

ALL fuses are fine as for the clocks I've had them out 3 or 4 times
I did notice a split in one corner of the original PCB so changed it with one I had but that was from a 3.2 petrol hence my original question
The clocks all lights up but no clocks actually work and no warning lights come on when ignition is switched on

Have a look for a burnt Resistor or burnt or blown track on the pcb film.

other than that its time to get the Voltmeter an start checking volts / earth from the connector.
