Is bank 2 knock sensor behind the alternator? I took off the serpentine tensioner and trapped the wire for the sensor when refitting it. I repaired the wire though so it may be that!

Hi all, after all the work, I have another light appear. It's the car with the spanner. It came on when I went over a pot hole, seemed to be the rear end. Plugged in my reader and no codes. Cleared and it came up again. Checked for lose wires up only found a connector on rear suspension flapping around fixed with a cable tie. Stripped and cleaned the earth strap just in case. Cleared with no codes found. Light is back! Any suggestions as to where to look next? Thanks 😊

Hi, update on the warning light. During the cam belt change I renewed all the gaskets on the inlet manifold, I noticed that the ones on the spacer plate were leaking on cylinder three. Since then the warning has not returned, touching wood! Thanks for you help

Hi, an update on my progress. Drained the coolant out again, took off the inlet to gain access to the bridge where the temp sensor is which I removed. Washers on the banjo bolts knackered which were replaced and refitted the bridge after checking the pipes to the new HBV. Flushed out the heater matrix. Refilled the coolant ran and then topped up I now have heat! Only my temp gauge to sort out as I have a new sensor so it must be a wiring issue. Thanks for all your reply's

Hi, I have just changed my cam belt on my V6, new water pump and new thermostat. Refilled the coolant as per Haynes filling the pipe to the heater first and then filling via the reservoir. Squished rad hoses, ran and then topped up. I have no heat in the cabin and temp gauge doesn't read. Is it an air lock or a dodgy thermostat? Hopefully an air lock (how to cure it, thanks?) as I don't want to strip it all down again to fit a new thermostat! Thanks.

Hi, it was 3.5 at idle 600rpm and 20 at 4000 rpm. Sorry I don't know the units untill I can run the engine after belt change.

Hi I have run figures for the MAF at tick over 600rpm 3.5 and at 4k I think it was 20. Not able to re-run as it is off the road at the moment having a new cam belt, water pump, thermostat and rocker cover gaskets fitted

Hi, I have an issue with the engine management light coming on when I am around town. Plug in my reader and it says O2 sensor out of range bank 2. Reset and if I'm on a journey it doesn't come on again until I'm town driving. Passes the MOT, tried cataclean and O2 cleaner in the fuel but no change. Any ideas?

Hi, I've fitter new discs and pads all round on my 3.2 but the rear discs which have pins and a spring to hold them in, my parts supplier cannot get them and say they are available from Vauxhall. Has anyone sourced them elsewhere? Thanks

I had the same, crap had got behind the cover in the wheel arch and rotted the wheel arch and the sill from the inside. Take the plastic covers off from over the sill and check behind

Hi all, I've had time to look at the fuses and work through them and I found that fuse 7 marked check control in my manual had blown. Replaced it and driver seal and all the courtesy lights are now working!

Hi, my drivers seat has stopped working, the passengers seat is ok so not the fuse. Also the courtesy light in the doors and boot also not coming on. Are the two linked and where should I start looking? Thanks
