What is thought to be the best lubricating spray for door lock mechanisms. My replacement front lock, used, seems to be sticking. I sprayed it with PTFE spray before fitting. :y
-
My answer for lubrication will always be good old 3 in 1 oil. :D ;)

I like spray white grease for using around cars; I use it on door hinges, restrictor stays, locks, pivots, towballs, etc etc. Best doesn't really matter, lubricating them with something is good enough.
Just use what you've got.
Just as you did :y

Holts do a clear spray grease. As good as the white grease and looks less unsightly 👍

Why use a Water Displacement fluid for lubrication ?? never gonna work well :)
What you need is a "proper" lubricating spray ...
may I suggest Ambersil 40+ ... far superior to anything else IMHO :)

Yeah...that's it...ambersil.....not those other things. ;D

I just use that white spray grease. Based on that's whats on the shelf.
3-in-1 is probably a bit light TBH. But if its all I had...

Marine grade white grease for me ;)
