Being a facelift it will have either HIDs (if you had these you would not be complaining!) or projectors (you have an aim adjuster below the headlight switch?).

Bulb upgrading is the best option. Go for a pair of Osram Nightbreakers (+90%). Getting excellent reviews. :)

If the headlights are discoloured or covered in traffic film they can be carefully cleaned using 1600 grit wet & dry followed by T-cut. Takes a wghile but does make a difference. be careful near the edges that you don't start rubbing metal !!  :)

When I was a kid I worked for a retired watchmaker. One of the tips of the trade was this.

Instead of replacing a scratched watch glass you would rub it with duraglit (or any of the wadding type metal polish) for sometimes hours lol It takes all the scratches out of a glass face or plastic. You need patience though.

I have used it on headlights for years and its far safer than wet/dry or Tcut.

By the way it also works on badly scratched cds too - just make sure you get all the white residue off though.

i was considering fitting Philips x- treme power in the main beam as well (over kill may be) the folk that have replied to my problem so far are a BRIGHT lot( pun intended) and know what their talking about  [smiley=thumbsup.gif] so i'll fit the Osrams and go from there

He's not wrong there. I am really chuffed about these bulbs and I am indebted to Chopsdad for pointing them out in a previous thread. In fairness, he only recommended them because they come in a shiny silver box.  ;D

H1 for dipped and H7 for main beam

Hi, I had the Philips +50% in both the main and dipped beams, I have replaced them with the Nightbreakers but I don't think that there is much improvement over the Philips, in fact the light output does not seem as good as the beam pattern appears to be more dispersed.

I'm tempted by the Philips +80% for my mains, they've got rave reviews from Auto Express. IIRC Osram are just behind Philips for quality...

i thought about doing the same ,but iam not sure if its worth it for the amount of time i use beam. i dont think ive had to use main beam since i fitted the Osrams.
