Fitted a new (Pattern) radiator to the daily driver, so far no leaks.  :y

Drove it to the wrong side of Ipswich and back, and had to put some go-go juice in in the process.  That might be the first time I've put fuel on since Scotland...
Every side of Ipswich is the wrong side. :D

Changed coolant temperature sensor and temperature gauge sender unit and while in there decided to change thermostat too.Doing these as since oil cooler change the temperature gauge has got up to about 90 before the fans kicked in and dropped the temperature back to about 75 and then repeating the cycle without holding a steady temperature.Hopefully changing these will sort that issue[it's already had a new radiator and fan thermoswitches this year] before something else crops up.

Took my 3.2 MV6 for an MOT last week.  :-[ failed on passenger side hand brake.  Not bad for 204000 miles. Saturday Mornings job is new shoes and re-adjust.  Hoping not the cable.
Then do the cambelt - as I wanted to see an MOT pass first.

Had a proper look underneath the 3.2.
Right hand rear self levelling shock absorber has spat its oil out so a new pair required. The vertical facing fuel line above the diff is quite badly corroded over the first couple of inches. Is this a return pipe, as if it is it doesn't do much returning.  ::)  Looks a shit to get at as well.  :-\ Exhaust is stainless and all ok there.
The inside face of the front brake discs are in a shocking state so new discs and pads required. It also needs four new tyres. Front offside chassis rail near front brake sensor clipping point needs a wire brush and a lick of paint but is not crunchy behind it thankfully. Left hand side is fine. Front end bushings and suspension appears ok when levered. Waxoyl fired along the cills a few years back keeps them looking wet but who knows what's lurking behind there.  :-\

At what stage do you decide to get rid.  :-\  It is still a tidy car and runs very well, a bit too well sometimes.  ::)  Decisions, decisions.

Should have added, im lucky enough to be able to do the jobs above myself so it's only a few hundred pounds. It's mostly general wear and tear on service items anyway. Against a new car it will hopefully still be worth it.

Thanks a hard decision, as there is little out there that matches the Omega, for reasonable money.

Way I figure it is what's it going to cost to repair add onto that figure what the car's worth not fixed add those two sums together then figure what you'd get for that money that's not going to need cash throwing at it for say a year.If the answer is nothing then fix it and keep it if the answer is something you fancy then get rid a buy the "something else".

Replaced a breather hose and corrected an exhaust blow on the Trolley yesterday.

Today visited a rather unhappy 3.2...

It's an omega. £50 not fixed, £75 fixed.
