Cars for Sale & wanted / Early Pre-Face Lift Saloon For Sale
« on: 20 March 2021, 15:58:02 »
Hi Guys

Decided to down size due to personal reasons so the Omega is up for sale.

It's and early car on an M plate, 2.5 V6 CDX Saloon. Its has been off the road for a number of years now with the intension of being re-built but it isn't going happen.

The car will need a lot or work, some welding, suspension and engine may need a re-build as it used to rattle on start up but it never gave me any problems.

I'm selling as spares repairs so i'll need to be trailed or flat bed to mover

Comes with spares. V6 engine, cams have been taken out but they are there. Bonnet, wings, front doors and a full Elite black leater interior

Going to need a quick sale, within two weeks of today otherwise it may end up in the bin which will be sad for it to end like that

Keeping in with forum rules i'm putting a figure of £400.00 on its but if anyone is interested please call me and make a offer

I'm not always on here these days so please email me

andyclears@hotmail.com  with your phone number and I'll call you back

Car Parts, bits For Sale & Wanted / Pre Face Lift Interior

Just wondering if there would be any interest in a Black Pre-Facelift Elite interior, Front Seats, Rear Seats and door cards. I think one door card has a stain on the carpet section.

Brought for my car but don't think i'll ever get round to doing the car so can not say if all the electrics work.

If anyone is interested give me a shout.

I'll put up £150.00 just as a ball park figure to keep in the rules. Best contact is email as i'm not on here must these days. andy dot clears at hotmail dot com

Cheers

PSA have killed off about 175 Vauxhall dealers across the UK when they over Vauxhall/Opel. They have now set up parts hubs, about fifty around the UK that now supply all the other Vauxhall, Peugeot, Citroen & DS dealers and the IMT's and Body Shops.

The smaller dealers if they have not already will be shutting down there trade parts operations and will only be supplying there own workshops and bodyshops.

Tradeclub is long gone, PSA will be setting up another type of Trade Parts operation and to incluse there factor side, Eurorepar you willhave to be a proper trader to get trade discount.

My old place, which some of you might remember have gone from Four Vans on the road, five in the phone office and three back room staff to no vans and only two parts staff.

Andy

I trust you mean Drive Vauxhall in Cotton Lane, Bury St. Eds. Andy.

Omega General Help / Re: Is there an online Vx spares catalogue?
« on: 04 October 2020, 21:15:52 »
You have answered you own question, finding parts isn't as easy as you think. As people have already said you order the wrong part is yours.

If you are really stuck PM your vehicle details, Chassis No etc and what parts you want and ill see if i can track them down

Did they not want the original Aquafoam Blue?  :D

Nice work though 8) What spec was it originally?

Always quite fancied a 2000E with the running gear swapped from the RS2000 4x4 Escort...

Thats the original colour although is was painted twice, the first time not buy my painter i might add. It was a GLX

How come it's not your name on the Iceni website/FB page? I thought your reputation would be worth promoting.

All the promo stuff is work in progress, fellow member is sorting out a web site but there are a few things i need to get place

Omega General Help / Re: Gates cambelt kit for late engine
« on: 31 May 2020, 20:43:56 »
Gates kits have gone don hill quality wise. SKF have pulled out of supplying the bearings etc for the rollers and tensioners due to the amount of problems.
They are no longer OEM suppliers either. SKF are now doing the own belt kits and Dayco are an up and coming OEM supplier

Talking to a vauxhall parts manager the other day and he was tell me that T/C will be no more in the new year. PSA have decided to start shutting the program down as the parts hubs come on line.

PSA want parts hubs dotted around the country which will be supplied by them, then the hubs will supply dealers, Citroen, Peugeot, DSA, Vauxhall and perhaps more once the tie up with Fiat tie up happens.

This will mean that the dealer will be retailer only and will not be able to supply parts at trade prices, I'll update if i get more info
