No, genuine Vauxhall alloys have 235/45/17's on (16" even have 225/55/16).
But that'll be ok to be honest, unless you want anything wider :y

I bought some MV6 alloys last week with brand new tyres originally they would have been fit with 235/45/17.....The guy had 225/45/17 fit all round..I asked at a tyre place if this would be okay and they said as long as the same tyres are fit on all 4 wheels it is ok....
With you having totally different sizes on the front to the back I would say thats not okay (But I am no expert)...

Essentially ok as the same axle has a matched size.

The fronts will probably be slightly lighter on the steering being only 205's (or 225s on Misy MV6). They will tighetn up the steering  a bit as there is not so much squidge, but the 225s on the rear will lower the gearing a bit.

Also not sure how an insurance co would regard running smaller tyres than the recommended?

it depends on the size of the sidewall, aslong as you keep it very similar then they'll be fine, it'll only affect the speedo.

there were some links for webpages showing the dimensions and you'd put what size tyre it was to get near enough the same dimensions on the sidewall (good for it you wanted really wide rear tyres like markey marks mv6)
