Back end is marginally more refined than the previous generation... twin turbo straight 6 isn't it :-\

Would prefer a Monaro personally as they're less ostentatious, but hope you enjoy it :y

That is attractive, for a BMW. It is far better looking than the old 7 series, which looked like it was designed by a dozen different people, none of whom had seen what the other eleven were working on.

Nice car. :y

Indeed. Finally a BMW worthy of the 6 series designation, following the E24 perhaps? Hmm. would I go that far? ;)

Wow, lovely looking car with real road presence, friend has an X5 with the 4.0d huge amounts of torque and still returns over 35mpg day in day out. Enjoy it.

I personally don't like the styling of that (or any of the current crop of beemers), but that is a decent performing engine, and I hope it suits your needs :y

I quite like the M4. Or even the M3. 6 series GC is also pretty.  :-*

Ah Pete....that car is gone. I sold it in April and it's really the sale of that car that funded the BMW. I really wasn't using it enough to justify keeping it and values had recently shot up. Also, I realised I actually enjoyed riding my old FJ1200 more than driving the E-type. It did look great, but 42 year old cars don't drive so great even when they are sorted. There is quite a lot of money chasing classic cars these days as there are no returns left on ISAs and other traditional savings so some people think hey, I'll buy a classic car. Something to enjoy. At least that was the position the guy was in that bought mine.

Thanks. You get a hell of a lot more for your money up North and the cost of living is so much lower than down South and especially in London. I grew up in Maidenhead in Berkshire and could not afford to buy the house I grew up in now. And it was no mansion.
