Replaced the rear subframe bushes, a nice straightforward job that took 70minutes including getting the tools out. Both bushes were split, but not separated. Fitted new pins and springs to the rear calipers to eliminate the nasty scraping noise.
Then I moved to the front to deal with the wishbone rear bushes. First I had to modify the half of the press tool I made the last time I did this, and improvise the other half with a pair of old bearing races. Changing the bushes was simple, as was refitting the O\S wishbone. Then I had a visit from Mr Cockup, and struggled for an hour to get the rear bolt in the the N\S. That was because I'd mixed it with the front one and had to do the whole swearing at it again.
A quick roadtest showed a massive improvement ( the wishbone bushes were utterly knackered) but I now have the ABS warning light on. Tomorrow's job will be to diagnose which sensor I've damaged.
Now it's time for fireworks followed by beer and a curry.
