I have got it just now on my estate. I suspect the rear anti roll bar links. but havnt got under to have a good look as yet. the rattle from mine is on both sides and can be heard on smooth surfaces to rough roads.

I have a broken spring on mine and have a similar noise... However I have quietened it down considerably by adjusting the boot closure as the boot lid was rattling!!  :o :o ::) ::)

It's not rattling, it's a noise like a spring hitting to something. And very occasional, just happens sometimes and impossible to find/hear when wanted. Someone told me that it might be coming from some other parts of the car, I must confirm and re-check the front also... Very strange and very annoying although not affecting driving or handling...
