Right......so 250 stands for?

Mr Tunnie is well known on this forum for his frugality.........almost of Scottish proportion. ::)

My CLS500 had twice as many cylinders as doors. :)

Can be had quite cheaply. You could always use the 'chicken chaser' as a P/X. :)

Yep, can pick up a reasonable one for under three grand now. Would have cost 75 + when new. Deffo my next car once I tire of the current Omega.  :)

Insurance shouldn't be an issue at your age unless you live in a postcode that is always on fire. The Tata only costs £300 to insure.

Of course, if it does go wrong, it won't be cheap to fix. :)

.....but then it's Germanic so will last forever without ever going wrong. ::) ::) ::) ;)

Ive gone for a 2013 model with 51000 on the clock.

Hard to get the right balance of Power, Condition, Age, Mileage and economy

About same age/mileage as mine...

Did 35k effortlessly in about 7 months with only discs/pads, a lower ball joint and routine servicing  :y

E250 is diesel. Practically every single one is diesel bar hybrid or insane AMG full fat ones.

I looked briefly at a CLS350 Shooting Brake estate and it's weight plate was .....
2435 max kerb
4620 gross train
1165 max front axle
1320 max rear axle

Excellent choice.😎
Yes. What does the 250 part stand for, 2.5 litre or 250 BHP? :y
I think it means it produces similar power to their old, knackered 2.5.

Bro's new S Class is a 350, but is only a 3l, and makes a miserable 260ish...
