Looked like a thin darlek you pressed the lever and it shot up into the air about 3 foot it had to be guided by the operator to land in the trench

They were crazy things I think they were called dollies it was one cylinder petrol, you pressed the lever and it energised the spark plug and sent it hurtling into the air it was then up to you to control it
